Global Research Proposals for 2005

The Center calls the sponsors of international organizations, governments, or private sectors, which will cooperate to perform the following research projects. E-mail to the Center office (secr-office@umin.ac.jp) by September 20, 2005, if  interest in a sponsorship.  Thereafter, we will meet you in the WHRMC office in Tokyo to establish the agreement of our global partnership.

 

Note that each project is a 3 year investigation from 2005 June  to 2008 March, and the total amount of each project for those 3 years is displayed. The representative investigator of each project belongs in the country marked with .

1.       Development of global crisis management system and technology in medicine (5 million US$) 

    Japan, UK, USA, Norway, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangladesh,

WHO, OECD,  etc.

     The University of London, Queens University (UK), Bedford University (UK), Norwegian University of Science and Technology

2.     Development of risk communication system in biotechnology and nanotechnology (0.5 million US$)

3.  Development of prevention program of medical accidents (The budget is unknown, yet)

4. Development of food safety information technology (0.3 million US$)

Russia, Japan, etc.

 

5. Development of suicide prevention program (0.2 million)

6. Development of stomach cancer prevention program in the Central America (0.4 million)

     Costa Rica, Japan, etc.

 

7. Air quality survey of ultra fine particle (0.2 million)

     Switzerland, USA, Japan, etc.

 

8. Development of safety information system of environmental chemicals (0.3 million US$)
